Burnley have agreed a fee with Charlton Athletic regarding their player Johann Berg Gudmundsson – according to a Sky Sports report.
Gudmundsson – who was part of the Charlton side who were relegated from the Sky Bet Championship last campaign, may have attracted the interested from the newly promoted Clarets after producing some scintillating performances during Iceland’s spectacular Euro 2016 campaign.
The 25-year-old was a bright spark in The Addicks’ dismal campaign of 2015/16, as he scored six goals and created 12, his total of 12 assists was a tie with Brentford’s Alan Judge for the best in the league.
The winger would become Sean Dyche’s first signing of the summer, as the club prepare for life back in the top flight of English football.
The fee agreed is rumoured to be in the region of £2.5 million.
