Bristol City are on the verge of completing a deal for striker Arnold Garita from French club Chateauroux for just £50,000, according to Sky Sports.
The club has agreed a fee with Chateauroux who play in the third tier of the French league for the Cameroon striker.
The 20-year-old underwent a 2 week trial with the Robins in November and City boss, Steve Cotterill, saw huge potential in the young striker.
The Cameroon forward has made 34 appearances for Chateauroux this season – scoring 9 goals in the process.
Garita will train with the first team and is expected to predominantly play for the under-21’s, but could force his way into the starting XI if he continues to impress the Robins boss.
The Robins signed Jonathan Kodjia from lower league French side Angers in July last summer and his signing paid off – netting 9 goals this campaign and is the clubs top scorer.
Bristol City are in a relegation fight this season and they currently find themselves 22nd in the Championship, with their goal difference keeping them in the bottom three of the division.
