Sky Bet Championship promotion candidates Brighton & Hove Albion are believed to be interested in a move for Czech Republic international Jiri Skalak, according to Sky Sports.
The 23-year old may not be a household name amongst fans of English football, but he is highly rated in his home country.
The winger, who can also play up front, has previously played for Sparta Prague, and is currently playing for Mlada Boleslav in the Czech first division. He has scored six goals in 15 games this season, helping his side to third place.
Skalak has been an important part of the second half of the Czech Republic’s Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, resulting in the national team qualify for the Championships.
Brighton have been busy this month, signing James Wilson and Anthony Knockaert, and this signing will be a statement of intent from Chris Hughton’s side.
Albion currently sit fourth place, with 50 points in 28 games this season.
