Brentford’s terrible form continued last night in the Carabao Cup, as the Bees fell to Norwich City at Griffin Park.

The defeat continues Brentford’s winless run at home, and ensures that the club has now only one once in 90 minutes this season in 11 games in all competitions.

Manager Dean Smith made a lot of changes to the side that drew with Reading, with the likes of Ilias Chatzitheodoridis and Chris Mepham coming into the side.

The youngsters proved no match for a Norwich side inspired by an in-form Marco Vrancic, who bagged twice, and Brentford’s record of having never made the fourth round of this competition remains intact.

The club travel to bottom of the table Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, with the Trotters the only other winless club in the division.
