Bolton Wanderers look like a team that are destined to be heading into League One, and it's a fate that could soon be out of their hands.

The club's financial woes continue to dominate the headlines, with The Bolton News claiming that the catering company involved with the club are threatening to withdraw their services ahead of their game with Millwall this weekend.

The EFL will discuss their future at a board meeting today but the future of the club doesn't look good at all as fans nervously await the verdict.

It's difficult to concentrate with the on-the-field matters at this moment in time, and Bolton defender, David Wheater has spoken out on his

The financial crisis at Bolton doesn't seem like it will be letting up anytime soon, and they remain in deep trouble heading towards a season-defining period of the season in the Championship.

Wheater and his team-mates will be hoping that they can find some positive results in the near future to help aid their bid in retaining their Championship status.

It seems unlikely that they will be able to do that though, and they look destined for relegation to League One this season.

But if their financial woes continue, then it could prove to be even worse for the club, especially if Ken Anderson is to remain associated with the club.

The Verdict:

It's such a frustrating scenario for everyone involved with the club.

The players are still yet to be paid, and I'm surprised that there still willing to even play for the club.

It's a credit to the players and they will be hoping to pull of a miracle and retain their Championship status by the season concludes in May.
