As Huddersfield's excellent season continues, the West Yorkshire side sit third in the table as the biggest threat to Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion's automatic promotion hopes.

One of the main reasons for Huddersfield's success this season has been their enthusiastic head coach David Wagner who has managed the side into such a healthy position.

David Wagner's philosophy which sees Huddersfield play with such a high press can lead to fatigue which has seen the West Yorkshire club rotate on a regular basis.

Wagner's belief in his squad and his rotational policy has seen a number of players of differing age and experience feature on a regular basis.

However, there are still some young players on the outer fringes of Huddersfield's squad who have featured and impressed in the West Yorkshire side's FA Cup run who could be utilised more by David Wagner.

John Gorenc Stankovic

After joining Huddersfield Town from Borussia Dortmund, the move came somewhat as a surprise to some in Germany.

Stankovic was highly rated at the Bundesliga giants and he had been ever present in Borussia Dortmund's second side.

The talented defender has also become a regular for Slovenia's Under 21 side and is destined to become a Slovenian international.

Since making the move, Stankovic's playing time at Huddersfield has been limited to just seven Championship appearances, particularly because of the excellent performances and consistency of Michael Hefele and Christopher Schindler.

However, after a nervous debut against Cardiff City and a torrid game against Wigan Athletic questions were raised about the Slovenian's athletic ability to compete in the Championship.

Since then, Stankovic has gone from strength to strength, gaining confidence and proving to be an extremely talented ball-playing centre-half.

Although Michael Hefele and Christopher Schindler will continue to be the first-choice centre-halves, John Gorenc Stankovic is a fringe player that Huddersfield should look to utilise.

Joel Coleman

Up until the defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup replay, Joel Coleman had conceded only a single goal this season for Huddersfield Town.

Joel Coleman has had limited opportunities since joining from Oldham Athletic, because of Welsh international Danny Ward who also joined Huddersfield Town in the summer on loan from Liverpool.

However, after a string of impressive performances both in the FA Cup run and his solitary appearance in the Championship, Coleman is putting Danny Ward under increasing amounts of pressure.

At just the age of 21, Coleman has shown himself to be a very talented young English goalkeeper, who may have a chance next season of becoming Huddersfield's first choice goalkeeper.

In the run in, although Danny Ward remains the favourite to start, Coleman has proved that he is capable of handling the pressure and performing in big games and in front of big crowds.

The former Oldham Athletic goalkeeper could be one of Huddersfield's fringe players that Wagner may be missing a trick not utilising more.
