Former Leeds midfielder, David Prutton, has predicted a high-scoring encounter when Swansea travel to Elland Road on Saturday.

Both sides come into the game unbeaten and on the same number of points as both Leeds and Swansea look to assert their dominance on the top of the Championship.

The Whites and the Swans have both failed to win just once in the league this season. Marcelo Bielsa's side dropped points to Nottingham Forest in front of their own crowd, whilst the Swans' only winless fixture was a goalless draw away at Derby County.

With both sides sitting in the automatic spots after five games, it's set to be an intriguing game as to who comes out on top on Saturday afternoon.

Prutton has predicted a 2-2 draw in the fixture. With both teams in good form he thinks there'll be goals shared between either side.

Speaking in his Sky Sports column, Prutton said: "Leeds crashed out of the Carabao Cup in midweek but I don't think that will bother Marcelo Bielsa too much. They have a relatively thin squad and now they can turn their attention fully to their promotion bid.

"I think most people were expecting Leeds to be there or thereabouts this season, but I can't imagine the same would have been said of Swansea. It is early days but Steve Cooper is doing an excellent job so far. I back them to grab a point at Elland Road."

The Verdict

I don't disagree with Prutton at all. There will be goals, I'm sure of that, but I can't see anything separating these two on Saturday.

There's sure to be some excellent football on show, with both teams liking to get the ball on the ground and both sides flying high with confidence.

It'll be interesting to see whether Steve Cooper's Swansea side opts to continue playing attacking football away from home, especially travelling to a team sitting top of the league, or whether he'll decide to go for a more cautious approach at Elland Road.

Saturday's fixture will give us a good indication as to where both teams are in terms of being potential promotion challengers.
