Brentford are favourites to return to winning ways when they take on Middlesbrough at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Frank's men are unbeaten in their previous three Championship matches heading into the weekend, but were held by Swansea City in midweek and are yet to hit top form following their play-off final defeat to Fulham last term.

Brentford have only managed three wins from their opening 10 league matches and sit 10th in the table, but there's reason for optimism - with the Bees just four points behind second-place.

Meanwhile, for Neil Warnock and Middlesbrough, their goalless draw at Blackburn on Tuesday means it's no defeats since the opening day of campaign for the Riverside outfit.

Boro have only tasted victory once on the road, but their 3-2 defeat at Griffin Park back in February was their only loss at Brentford in their previous seven visits before that (W6 D1).

This brings together two of the Championship's most form sides, but what does Sky Sports EFL expert David Prutton think will happen in West London? He has gone for a slender 2-1 Brentford win.

He told Sky Sports: "We often focus on Brentford's attacking talent and probably ignore at times how good they were defensively last season. There is no doubt they need to tighten up at the back.

"Middlesbrough and goals do not really go hand in hand this season, but I would like to think there will be goals in this one. I will back Brentford to edge it."

Can you name the mascot of these 37 EFL clubs?

The Verdict Brentford's attacking quality means they're clear favourites here. However, the Bees have struggled in their new stadium - taking only seven points from their opening five matches. And with Warnock making Middlesbrough tough to beat - although the Teeside outfit have only won once on the road - I think they'll come away with a hard-earned point and head into the international break with their unbeaten record still in tact.
