David Prutton has stated that he thinks West Bromwich Albion will earn all three points when they travel to Bristol City on Saturday.

West Brom head into the game in fine form having won three of their last four games, as they sit top of the Championship table and seven points clear of third place Fulham.

Bristol City have been on an upward rise over the last two months, and Lee Johnson's side have won five of their last seven Championship games which has given them a great chance of getting in the play-offs.

The previous game between the two sides ended in 4-1 victory to West Brom, and Johnson will be hoping that his side can fair better in front of their own supporters.

Prutton has predicted Slaven Bilic's side to come out on top with a 3-2 victory at Ashton Gate on Saturday, which would be a huge step towards promotion for West Brom.

Speaking in his Sky Sports column, Prutton said: "Bristol City are around where they often tend to be at this point in the season. A run either way will push them into the top six or see them fall short again.

"West Brom look really confident again, despite that late equaliser they conceded against Nottingham Forest last week, and have given themselves a gap to work with. They should be too strong on Saturday."

The Verdict

This one has all the hallmarks of a cracker at Ashton Gate. Johnson will know his side need tostart beating the teams around them if they want to earn promotion this season.

They lost at Leeds United last weekend, and will be hoping to bounce back from the defeat with a strong result against West Brom.

The Baggies have been brilliant recently, and look as though they may well run away with the title at this point.

Bristol City will need to keep players such as Matheus Pereira and Filip Krovinovic at bay if they're to have any chance of getting a result.
