Luton Town will be aiming to secure a third consecutive victory in all competitions on Saturday when they host Huddersfield Town at Kenilworth Road.
The Hatters backed up their impressive 3-1 win over Barnsley last weekend with further success in the Carabao Cup against Cardiff City on Tuesday.
After Bluebirds winger Junior Hoilett scored an own-goal at the Cardiff City Stadium, strikes from Alan Sheehan and Jake Jervis helped Luton set up a third round clash with Leicester City.
Despite experiencing a tough start to the 2019/20 Championship season, the Hatters will fancy their chances against a Huddersfield Town side who have only been able to pick up one point from their first five games.
Currently without a manager following Jan Siewert’s departure earlier this month, the Terriers’ players are clearly lacking confidence.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of tomorrow’s clash, pundit David Prutton has predicted that Luton will beat Huddersfield 2-0 at Kenilworth Road.
The 37-year-old said: “That was a huge win for Luton last week.
“They have become used to winning in recent seasons and it would have been a big boost for Graeme Jones to get his first victory.
“Huddersfield are struggling.
“Just one point so far and no replacement yet for Jan Siewert.
“This feels like another defeat [for the Terriers].”
Whereas Martin Cranie is set to miss Saturday’s game due to injury, Dan Potts could make his return to the Hatters’ starting eleven after being included in the club’s match-day squad in midweek (via Luton Today).
Having experienced an upturn in form over the past week, Luton should be able to overcome Huddersfield tomorrow.
After securing promotion from League One last season, the Hatters will be aiming to establish themselves at Championship level during the current campaign.
In order to achieve this, it is imperative that Luton improve their home form and thus Saturday’s clash provides the perfect opportunity to clinch their first league win at Kenilworth Road this season.
