Huddersfield Town face a difficult test as they prepare to host Cardiff City on Wednesday night.

The Terriers have been in indifferent form of late having picked up seven points from their last 12 fixtures - a run which sees them sit in 19th place in the Championship.

The latest result was a 2-0 home victory over Queens Park Rangers and the hope for Danny Cowley's side will surely be to make it back-to-back wins against Neil Harris' side.

Cardiff City, on the other hand, will be brimming with confidence as they head to the John Smith Stadium.

The Bluebirds are unbeaten in their last 10 Championship fixtures and have realistic ambitions of breaking into the play-off places come the end of the season.

The latest result was a 1-0 victory over Luton Town at the weekend and the hope will be to continue that run against the Terriers.

While Huddersfield will be hoping to make the most of home advantage, David Prutton is expected Cardiff City to come out on top.

The Sky Sports pundit has predicted a 2-1 victory for the Bluebird - a result which could significantly close the gap on the top six.

The verdict

This will be a tough one for Danny Cowley's side.

Huddersfield Town will be determined to make it back-to-back wins, but Cardiff City will not make it easy for them.

Neil Harris' side are in excellent form at present and few would bet against them challenging for a place in the play-offs come the end of the season.

A victory at the John Smith Stadium would set them on the right track to do just that.
