David Prutton has predicted Cardiff to come out on top in Sunday's fixture with Bristol City.

It's set to a tasty clash as it always is between the two sides, with Cardiff looking to build on their victory over Birmingham last week. Neil Warnock's side haven't had the best of starts to the season, but will be hoping to go on a good run of form to really kick start their campaign.

The Robins on the other hand have had a good start to the campaign and will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing end to the game at Barnsley last Friday night.

Lee Johnson's side are currently occupying a spot in the play-off places and have the ambition to reach the Premier League.

Prutton has predicted Cardiff to come out on top in the fixture with a scoreline of 2-1, a result which would go down very well with the Bluebirds.

Speaking in his Sky Sports column, Prutton said: "Neil Warnock will be hoping that win over Birmingham last Saturday provides a real pick-me-up for his side, who have really underwhelmed since returning to this level.

"Lee Johnson was so frustrated with his side and the way they threw away such a dominant position at Barnsley. Those are the kind of results you look back on at the end of the season when you have just missed out on the top two or the top six. He will hope it doesn't haunt them. Their frustration may well continue, as I fancy a narrow Cardiff win."

The Verdict

It's set to be a tasty game, and the two sides always provide quite a good spectacle. Both teams have passionate managers and that always help in this division, especially for matches like this.

Bristol City have had a brilliant start to the season, but are still showing the same flaws as last season and conceding too many chances in some of their fixtures.

Cardiff on the other hand have been very poor for their standards and will be hoping that they can put together a good run of form, especially after beating Birmingham so comfortably last weekend.
