Middlesbrough are proving to be a revitalised outfit under Chris Wilder, with the Teessiders enjoying four good performances since the 54-year-old was appointed.

Boro have picked up seven points in those four games, meaning that they are now just five points from the much-desired play-off positions.

Middlesbrough have kept consecutive clean sheets coming into tomorrow's clash, and whilst tomorrow's test is expected to be the toughest one yet for Wilder, the Teessiders are the side with the confidence.

Bournemouth have picked up just three points in their last five games, loosening their strong position within the division's top two.

The Cherries are now a mere three points ahead of West Brom in third, with the Baggies possessing the opportunity to draw level on points tonight when they travel to Barnsley.

Issuing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton has gone for a 2-1 win for the home side tomorrow afternoon.

The verdict

Middlesbrough will be expecting to fight for the play-offs this season, and under Wilder, they will be positive about their chances of securing a top-six spot.

Although they were part of the play-off chasing pack under Neil Warnock, there appears to be a feeling of optimism and fearlessness under the new manger.

Even with Bournemouth out of form, they still pose a huge threat, with the Cherries possessing a plethora of high-quality attacking options.

It will be no surprise to see a very tight game played out at the Riverside Stadium tomorrow, with a draw looking quite likely.

However, a narrow Middlesbrough win is also a good call, given recent form and Middlesbrough's strong home record over the last few seasons.
