Aston Gate is the venue for tomorrow afternoon’s clash between Bristol City and Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship.

Lee Johnson’s side are entrenched in their midtable position looking to earn three points to push further away from the relegation places.

The Robins are unbeaten in three games and will be looking to extend that run to four with a positive result against the league leaders.

Daniel Farke’s men, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last nine matches, winning eight and will look to maintain their lead at the top of the division after this weekend’s game signalling the start of the festive period.

Ahead of the clash between the two sides, Sky Sports enlisted the help of pundit and EFL presenter David Prutton to predict the outcome of this weekend’s fixture.

“Every time Norwich look like they are about to slip up they pull another win out from somewhere and prove they are in fact the real deal as promotion contenders.

“Bristol City are a bit of a streaky side under Lee Johnson, and they have picked up a bit of form again,” he said.

“They should start climbing soon, but I think the Canaries will be too good for them at Ashton Gate. 2-3.”

The verdict

David Prutton has this game closer than I would have had it, to be honest.

Bristol City have not won at home in three games, and I fully expect that to move onto four after the weekend’s bout between the two sides - I can’t see the Robins scoring twice.

I think it will be a Norwich win, but by a more comfortable scoreline, 0-2.
