Queens Park Rangers will be looking to end their sequence of seven games without a win on Saturday against a Preston North End side who have lost their last three.

QPR have slipped down the Championship table in recent weeks after their poor run of form, as they find themselves down in 16th place. Meanwhile, Preston occupy the last-play-off place in 6th.

The Hoops have not won at Loftus Road since October 5th, with Alex Neil's Preston team also having a poor record away from home this campaign, winning twice on the road so far.

Both sides need the points for different reasons. QPR are keen to end their recent slump, which has seen their manager Mark Warburton come under increasing pressure, with Preston also desperate for a win to re-affirm their play-off credentials.

As ever, Sky Sports EFL expert David Prutton has issued his latest round of predictions for this weekend's Championship games, including QPR's clash with Preston. The former midfielder has tipped both sides for a draw.

Speaking on Thursday night, Prutton said:

"Two sides who could really do with a win here. QPR at least ended a bit of a slump with a good draw at Derby last Saturday, but are still tumbling down the table.

Preston may consider themselves unlucky in the way they lost against West Brom on Monday night, but they didn't deserve to win either and now it's three defeats on the spin. I think both sides would probably settle for a draw on Saturday."

Prutton has predicted a 2-2 draw between QPR and Preston, which will not benefit either team, in terms of their current league position.

However, the Hoops go into the game with a poor record against the Lancashire side, losing their last six games against The Lilywhites.

The Verdict

It is easy to understand why Prutton has predicted a draw between the sides, as the recent form for both clubs has not been overly impressive.

Mark Warburton, however, will be looking to put an end to his side's poor form in front of the QPR fans, as the Hoops look to climb back up the table.
