Rotherham United will be looking to keep their faint survival chances alive in the Championship when they return to action this weekend.

The Millers have lost their last four matches, which means they're now four points adrift of safety, and with just one match in hand over 22nd-placed Derby County.

Paul Warne's side are set to take on Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon, in what could potentially be a tricky test for the Yorkshire-based side.

Rovers have found a positive run of results hard to come by in the second-half of the 2020/21 season, although they now sit 15th in the table, after a 5-2 thrashing of Huddersfield Town in their most recent match.

Sky Sports' EFL pundit David Prutton issued his pre-match thoughts ahead of the clash at the New York Stadium, whilst also predicting that both teams won't be separated in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

"It's no longer in Rotherham's hands to stay up after that defeat at Brentford in midweek. It's been a tough season and you feel for Paul Warne. He and some of his players look out on their feet.

"Blackburn have nothing to play for now, but that didn't stop them thumping Huddersfield last week. This might be harder work because Rotherham have so much to play for and could potentially go down on Saturday if they lose, but I think it will end in a draw."

The Verdict:

I can see Rotherham sneaking a win here.

Blackburn swept aside Huddersfield Town in a ruthless manner in their most recent match, and Rotherham will be low on confidence, having lost their last four matches.

But the Millers desperately need points, and they've got to really go for it here, and I can see them running out winners, as they look to keep the pressure on Derby County heading into their final few games.

A win here could be season-defining, and Paul Warne will be hoping his side can pick up a much-needed three points at the New York Stadium on Saturday.
