Leeds United will be looking to build on their recent upturn in form when they host Reading on Saturday.

The Whites have picked up four points from their last two matches, following up a well-earned draw at Brentford with last Saturday's comprehensive victory over Bristol City.

Should Fulham lose the Friday evening game against Derby County, Leeds will go into the clash knowing they could potentially open up a six-point gap if other results were to go their way.

Saturday's opponents Reading currently lie 15th in the Championship and have only managed one win in their last eight Championship games.

The Royals' will be buoyed, however, by last weekend's 3-0 victory at Hillsborough and will be looking to pull off another scalp when they travel to LS11 on Saturday.

As part of his weekly Sky Sports' EFL predictions, former United midfield David Prutton has offered his thoughts on the Elland Road clash.

Discussing United, Prutton wrote: "Leeds picked up a massive win against Bristol City last week, but once again they looked like a side who do not take enough chances, relying on a goal from Luke Ayling to win the game."

On Reading, Prutton said: "Reading got a superb win last week against Sheffield Wednesday and it was good to see George Puscas back among the goals.

"He was tipped for big things when he signed but has not quite hit the heights so far," the former midfielder added.

Concluding his thoughts on Saturday's clash, Prutton tipped United to take all three points: "I think Leeds will sneak another home win, 1-0."

Following the Reading game, Leeds face trips to Middlesbrough and Hull City before hosting Huddersfield Town at Elland Road on 7th March.

Are these Leeds United facts true or false?

The Verdict

Despite Reading's impressive victory last weekend at Hillsborough, it is hard to see past Leeds at Elland Road this weekend.

Should they perform to the standard they did against Bristol City, Reading will struggle to contain the Whites across the 90 minutes.

For Leeds, there is always the concern over them converting the chances and should they have an off day like the one against Wigan Athletic earlier this month, Reading could nick the contest.

With United's recent resurgence in form, however, I can see the Whites edging a narrow meeting.
