Derby County face another tricky test as they take on Huddersfield Town on Tuesday evening.

The Rams have enjoyed an upturn in form of late under Wayne Rooney but suffered a setback at the weekend after falling to defeat against Watford on Friday evening.

That result has left them sitting in 19th position in the table, but Rooney will know that a victory will go a long way to moving them up the table.

For Huddersfield, they'll be looking over their shoulders.

Some poor recent form has left the Terriers in the bottom region of the table and just two points above Derby.

However a 4-1 victory over promotion contenders Swansea City will have done wonders for their confidence as they look to move away from a potential relegation battle.

It's set to be a crucial match for both sides and David Prutton is predicting a cagey affair.

The Sky Sports EFL pundit has predicted a 1-1 draw between the two sides - a result that is unlikely to be seen by either as being a particularly good result.

Whether that call will come to fruition remains to be seen, but both sides will certainly be hoping for more than a point.

The verdict

This is a big opportunity for Derby County.

After falling to defeat at the weekend there's no doubt that they'll be keen to get back to winning ways against Huddersfield.

The Terriers will be high on confidence but Wayne Rooney's side will surely be seen as favourites for this one.
