Sheffield Wednesday play host to Leeds United this evening under the lights at Hillsborough.

Jos Luhukay’s men are on a good run of form of late, having lost just one of their last six matches.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men, meanwhile, lost their first match of the season last weekend to Birmingham City and will be looking to get back to winning ways having only secured maximum points once in their previous four outings.

It will be a fierce, intense Yorkshire derby, with both teams wanted to earn not only the points, but bragging rights too.

Ahead of the fixture, Sky Sports enlisted the help of pundit David Prutton to try and predict the outcome of the match.

He said: “This should be a cracking game.

“Sheffield Wednesday have won four of their last six games and did superbly to claim all three points at Aston Villa last weekend.

“Leeds suffered their first real setback of the Marcelo Bielsa era when they lost against Birmingham and looked for the first time to really be missing Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez.

“There should be goals here, but I am backing the Owls to edge it - 3-2 with Steven Fletcher to score first.”

The Verdict

This is the game of the weekend, and it is one that is ridiculously tough to call.

David Prutton has been bold and gone for a narrow home win in a five-goal thriller.

But, I think it will be more cagey than that.

It is impossible to split the sides, so a score draw it could well be.
