Quoted by Sky Sports in his regular prediction column, David Prutton has suggested that Charlton Athletic are going to edge Millwall this evening in the south London derby at the Valley.

The Sky Bet Championship action keeps on coming as we look to wrap up the rest of this season this month and both sides still have something to play for going into this one.

The home side are looking to pull away from the relegation zone further with a win, whilst Millwall are looking to stay in touch with the play-off race after losing ground since the restart.

Indeed, the Addicks come into this one in much better form than the Lions having not lost since the restart, and Prutton thinks that that run is going to continue this evening.

He said:

"Charlton have been fantastic since the restart. Seven points from three games and three clean sheets in a row. They are just a couple of points away from safety now, you feel.

"Millwall haven't been quite so good. Two points from three games has seen them drift away from the play-off picture. I think this could be another narrow Charlton win, too. 1-0."

The Verdict

Both of Charlton's wins since the restart have been by a 1-0 scoreline so you can see why Prutton might have gone for this prediction.

Certainly, Charlton are in better form but this is a derby game and, even without fans, form can and perhaps will go out of the window.

It's set to be a real tussle, though, and should be a fascinating clash in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
