QPR got back to winning ways during the week after three successive 2-1 defeats.

The R's, who were unbeaten in their opening six matches, fell to 2-1 defeats away to West Brom and Bournemouth, whilst a 90th minute Bristol City goal earned The Robins all three points in West London.

Sitting just a point outside of the play-offs, QPR will be hoping to secure three points to perhaps regain a place in the Championship's top-six.

However, a stubborn Preston North End side travel to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium tomorrow, having drawn their last five games in the league.

The Lilywhites, who sit in 17th place having accumulated 11 points from their opening 10 games, are actually unbeaten in their last seven games.

Losing their first three games, Frankie McAvoy's side have recuperated excellently, securing draws against West Brom, Sheffield United, and Stoke City.

Predicting the score in his Sky Sports column, David Prutton believes that Preston's run will need here, issuing a 2-1 score prediction in favour of The R's.

The verdict

QPR are a very strong Championship outfit who have recruited brilliantly for this season.

Adding the likes of Charlie Austin, Andre Gray, Stefan Johansen, and Jordi de Wijs, stands them in good stead for what remains of this campaign.

Preston will provide stiff competition, and whilst they have not exactly been firing in front of goal, they are a resilient side who have shown that they can frustrate teams who are pushing for promotion.

The Lilywhites have struggled against teams in the top half (in terms of securing the three points) and it is no real surprise that Prutton has sided with The R's.
