Leeds United head into their clash with Middlesbrough looking for their fifth consecutive win, with Boro looking to build on their first win in 10 games last time out.

The two clubs have been in completely contrasting form this term, with Marcelo Bielsa's side sitting five points clear of the play-off places, whereas Boro find themselves just one point above the relegation zone.

United are unbeaten at Elland Road since August and, with Boro winless on the road all season, will see this as a perfect opportunity to bridge the gap between them and third place.

Leeds are no doubt overwhelming favourites for the clash but Marcelo Bielsa has acknowledged that Jonathan Woodgate's Boro are still a "developing side."

As ever Sky Sports' pundit David Prutton has issued his latest round of EFL predictions for the weekend including Leeds' clash with Boro, and the former midfielder is tipping United to come out on top.

Speaking on Thursday evening, Prutton said: "Middlesbrough got a massive win in midweek to ease the pressure on Jonathan Woodgate and lift themselves out of the relegation zone, but Leeds will be too good for them at Elland Road."

Prutton has tipped his former side to win 2-0 on Saturday, heaping more pressure on Jonathan Woodgate and possibly putting daylight between themselves and the play-off places.

Woodgate will no doubt receive a warm welcome from the Elland Road faithful but that will probably be the only pleasantries the former Whites man will receive, with United overwhelming favourites for the three points.

The Verdict

It is hard to see past a home win here as Leeds look to extend their seven match unbeaten run, and you've got to agree with Prutton that Leeds will claim the points and keep a clean sheet in the process.

Boro will have taken confidence from their midweek victory at home to Barnsley but it's hard to see them having the quality to see off Bielsa's men at Elland Road.

Jonathan Woodgate's side have failed to win away from the Riverside all season and have only managed eight goals away from home. It is hard to argue that they will stop that trend on Saturday.
