Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton has predicted Nottingham Forest will be unable to end their winless run when they host Swansea City on Sunday, forecasting a 1-1 draw.

Despite picking up back-to-back victories at the start of the month, Chris Hughton's side have come unstuck since the international break and lost twice in the last week.

Their 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth in midweek was the first game in a run that sees them play six of the top nine sides in the table in as many matches, so a confidence-boosting win could do them wonders on Sunday.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton has suggested that won't happen, however, and forecasted a 1-1 draw.

He explained: "Nottingham Forest had a few half-chances against Bournemouth, but were simply outclassed by the Cherries overall. Lyle Taylor didn't get an awful lot of service up top, and that's something they need to work on.

"Swansea are ticking along nicely. Their recent record at the City Ground isn't but, but they look confident and they will fancy this one. I think it will be a draw."

That result will mean the Reds stay out of the bottom three no matter how the sides below them fare, while it should be enough to keep Swansea in the play-off places.

The Swans could be buoyed by Andre Ayew's return to the starting XI after he came off the bench in midweek but Morgan Gibbs-White and Marc Guehi will likely both be absent.

Forest's fairly long injury list features some big names, including Joe Worrall, Luke Freeman, and Lewis Grabban.

The Verdict

The next few weeks looks likely to be a difficult period for Hughton's side as they take on many of the Championship's high flyers.

Swansea have been just that this term and though it won't be the confidence boost Forest clearly need, a draw is still a good result.

You feel the Reds will need to turn their results around soon if they are to harbour any hopes of promotion this term.
