Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton has issued his verdict on the Championship clash between Millwall and Cardiff City tomorrow, predicting that the game will end as a 2-2 draw.

Both sides suffered frustrating results ahead of the international break, with the Bluebirds losing to rivals Bristol City and Millwall winless in their last three.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton has indicated that neither side will bounce back with a win and suggested the game will finish as a 2-2 draw.

He explained: "It feels like I'm saying similar things about Millwall every week, but they are just generally a consistent side.

"Neil Harris has built a very competitive side, and Harry Wilson and Kieffer Moore both had a positive international break with Wales. They look to be cranking into gear, but Millwall are doing very nicely indeed. Score draw here for me."

That result would likely see both sides drop back further from the top six, with Cardiff six points adrift already and the Lions two points away.

The game will see Neil Harris return to the Den for the first time since leaving his role as Millwall's manager back in October 2019.

Harris led Cardiff to the play-offs last term, while Garry Rowett's Millwall side finished two places and two points outside the top six.

The two sides' fortunes have been reversed through the first few months of the season but neither has really been able to hit top gear.

The Verdict

It's hard to disagree with Prutton on this one.

Both sides have their qualities and are likely to be in the mix as the season wears on but it's difficult to give either the edge judging on their recent form.

The potential return of Troy Parrott, who is set to make his Championship debut after missing much of the start of the season through injury, could be the difference-maker but we haven't seen enough from him yet to say that with any certainty.
