Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat to West Brom when they return to action in the Championship this weekend.

The Owls are currently sat 13th in the second tier standings, and take on play-off chasing Swansea City on Sunday afternoon at the Liberty Stadium.

Steve Cooper's side are sat eighth in the Championship table, and are just four points adrift of the play-off places with six matches remaining in this year's campaign.

The head into the game looking to end a two-match winless run, after being forced to settle for a point against Millwall last weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sports, EFL pundit David Prutton issued his thoughts ahead of the game, and predicted a 1-1 draw between the two sides this weekend, in what is certain to be a closely-fought battle.

"Swansea have some terrifically talented young players in their side and will push right to the end to try and reach the top six. You can be sure of that.

"Sheffield Wednesday were OK against West Brom on Wednesday night, but for the first time since the restart really did look a team in mid-table with not a lot left to play for. I do, however, fancy them to bounce back and get a draw on Sunday."

The Verdict:

I think Swansea will edge this one.

Sheffield Wednesday have certainly shown improvement since returning from an extended break, but they've not really got anything to play for from now until the end of the season.

Swansea are still well in the hunt to challenge for a top-six finish, and they'll be eager to pick up a much-needed three points against Garry Monk's side.

I'll be bold and go for a 2-1 win for the Swans here, but the Owls certainly won't make it easy for the play-off chasing side.
