Nottingham Forest will be looking to pick up a win when they return to action on Wednesday evening at the City Ground.

The Reds were beaten by Middlesbrough in their most recent fixture at the weekend, which means they're currently sat 21st in the Championship table after their opening nine matches of the season.

It's not been the best of starts to life with the Reds for Chris Hughton, who will be looking to take his side further clear of the relegation zone at the earliest of opportunities.

They take on Coventry City in their next match, in what is certain to be a potentially tricky test for Hughton's side. The Sky Blues beat Reading 3-2 in their most recent match, in an impressive display by Mark Robins' men.

Coventry are sat 20th in the second-tier standings, and will fancy their chances of picking up points against a Forest side that haven't been at their best this season.

A win could see Nottingham Forest move up to 19th in the Championship table, although a defeat could leave them in trouble in the relegation zone.

Sky Sports' EFL pundit David Prutton predicted that the game on Wednesday evening will finish as a 1-1 draw, which would be a result that would surely leave the City Ground faithful frustrated.

The Verdict:

I can see Forest winning this one.

The Reds haven't been good enough this season, but they're showing slight signs of improvement under the management of Chris Hughton.

Coventry will provide them with a serious test on Wednesday evening though, as the Sky Blues recently beat league-leaders Reading in their most recent match.

So, they're be full of confidence here, but I think Nottingham Forest's quality will see them pick up a much-needed three points at the City Ground.
