Valerien Ismael takes charge of his first game in English football tonight when Barnsley host Queens Park Rangers under the lights at Oakwell tonight.

The Tykes managed to remain unbeaten during Adam Murray's three-game spell, collecting three points from as many matches - drawing against Bristol City, Stoke and then Millwall on Saturday.

Whilst it's a decent points return, it leaves Barnsley still searching for their first Championship victory since winning at Brentford to survive on the final day of last season.

But QPR are hardly faring any better, and travel to Yorkshire looking to win for just the second time this term - the other coming against Nottingham Forest on the opening day.

Rangers are five places above the hosts in the table, but could be level on points if they suffer another defeat.

So what does Sky Sports pundit David Prutton think? He has predicted a 1-0 win for the Londoners at Oakwell.

The Verdict This appears to have a boring draw written all over it, but I think the new manager bounce is going to benefit Barnsley, who'll back up their recent performances with a first three points of the campaign. Barnsley have been relatively solid at home in 2020, losing just twice in nine at Oakwell - which means I'm going to have to disagree with Prutton and predict a 1-0 Tykes victory.
