David Prutton has stated that Leeds must not get too comfortable otherwise they will risk missing out on promotion.

The Whites have had a brilliant first-half of the season and look like they will finally return to the top-flight.

Despite Saturday's calamitous 3-3 draw with Cardiff, Marcelo Bielsa's side remains 10 points clear of Preston in third. So, even now, it would take a real slip up for Leeds to miss out on promotion but after last season there are still worries amongst the fans.

Leeds have a huge game next weekend when they travel to Fulham, knowing that a win could inflict pain on one of their main promotion rivals.

Prutton, however, has warned that they can't become too comfortable and must make sure they keep going until the end.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, Prutton said: "We all know that the minute you get too comfortable it comes and kicks you in the knackers so you can’t get carried away.

"You can enjoy it and embrace it but it’s ultimately meaningless if the end of the season comes around and they are not still there."

The Verdict

It's been a quite terrific campaign from the club so far, but Saturday's result will have put the doubt in Leeds supporters heads once again. Elland Road was rocking at 3-0 up but an unbelievable comeback could hurt the side.

Biers now has to make sure that he's able to keep confidence and moral in the camp, and then make sure that something like that does not happen again.

Prutton is right, and they can't get too comfortable otherwise that could see them drop down the table which would be quite catastrophic for the supporters and the players.
