Saturday could see Bolton Wanderers climb out of the minus figures and onto one point, should they secure victory over struggling MK Dons at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Bolton have won their last two league games to bring them within two points of reaching zero and wiping out the 12 point deduction handed out to them by the EFL for entering administration over the summer.

Although only two wins to their name, performances have improved since Keith Hill took charge of the Trotters at the end of August.

Wanderers will certainly use their last two league results as a building block to take into Saturday's clash, and will look to add more misery onto opponents MK Dons, who haven't tasted a league victory in their last nine league matches.

Following this poor run of form, MK Dons have recently changed manager opting to relieve Paul Tisdale of his duties and placing player Russell Martin in charge at Stadium MK.

Despite their off-field problems, Wanderers have only lost at home twice all season, whereas Saturday's opponents are yet to win on the road all season.

With League One and Two taking centre-stage for the EFL this weekend, Sky Sports' EFL expert David Prutton, has selected Wanderers clash as one of his "Prutton Predicts" selections.

Here the former Southampton midfielder has predicted a narrow 1-0 for the Trotters, saying: "Russell Martin's first two games in charge have both ended in defeat in the FA Cup and then the Leasing.com Trophy, but this is where the real business begins. That being said, I think this could be a great day for Bolton."

The Verdict

If there was ever a great opportunity for Bolton to move out of the minus points tally it is Saturday's fixture with struggling MK Dons.

Bolton certainly have team-spirit despite all their problems, and fans will be desperate to see their side claim their third victory of the season.

It won't be easy for Wanderers but given MK Dons' dire form, I have to agree with Prutton here and can see the Trotters snatching a narrow victory.
