Cardiff City will be hoping to get their first win under new manager Neil Harris this evening against Stoke, in what will be his first home game in charge.

The clash will be a game with the spotlight on both managers, with Neil Harris and Michael O'Neill relatively new to their respective roles.

The Bluebirds come into this one in poor form, only winning one of their last five league games. Stoke on the other hand are having a mini-resurgence under Michael O'Neill, who has collected back to back wins his two games in charge.

A win for Cardiff could see them climb into the top half of the table, as they currently sit in 14th place in the Championship.

As ever, Sky Sports' EFL expert David Prutton has given his thoughts on both sides ahead of the important game, and here is what he had to say:

"Cardiff did very well to battle back in the second half and draw against Charlton in Neil Harris' first game in charge at the weekend, while Stoke have started very well under Michael O'Neill, winning their last two games either side of the international break."

Prutton has predicted a 2-2 draw, suggesting that both sides will cancel each other out.

The Verdict

In spite of Cardiff's recent poor form, that may go out of the window for this game as the team have a new manager, and he will be relishing the prospect of his first home game in charge, in front of the Bluebirds fans.

However, it's hard not to agree with Prutton here, as an end to end game is expected.
