Leeds United will be keen to pick up a much-needed three points when they return to league action this weekend against Bristol City.

The Whites have struggled in 2020 so far, and only have one win to their name since the turn of the New Year, which has seen them throw away an advantage of their promotion rivals in the Championship.

Leeds are now level on points with third-placed Fulham, and could drop to as low as sixth in the Championship table if other results aren't to go their way this weekend.

They take on a Bristol City side that will be keen to come out on top as well, as the Robins are currently sat sixth in the second-tier standings heading into this one.

Sky Sports' EFL pundit David Prutton has issued his thoughts ahead of the game, and has predicted both sides to play out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road on Saturday.

"Marcelo Bielsa said he will stick with Kiko Casilla in goal, even though his confidence looks so low and he could probably do with being taken out of the firing line.

"Bristol City got a good win against Derby in midweek, and would snap your hand off for a draw at Elland Road."

The Leeds supporters will be itching to see their side get their promotion bid back on track this season, as they look to avoid a repeat of last season, where they eventually missed out on promotion after a play-off semi-final defeat to Derby County.

The Verdict:

I have to disagree with Prutton here.

Even though Leeds are struggling for any sort of consistency in their results, I can see them sneaking a narrow win against Lee Johnson's side this weekend.

The Whites are in desperate need of picking up three points from this one, with the promotion-chasing pack closing in as the weeks progress.

If they don't pick up a much-needed win here, I have serious doubts as to whether they'll be able to fire themselves back into the automatic promotion places in the Championship.

It's a must-win game for Marcelo Bielsa's side.
