As ever Sky Sports' EFL expert David Prutton has delivered his latest round of predictions for Sky Sports ahead of another weekend of action, including Sheffield Wednesday's trip to an out of form Blackburn Rovers.

We are up to match-day 15 in the Sky Bet Championship and these two sides couldn't be in more different form to each other.

Blackburn have not won in seven and have only picked up two draws on that run, losing the other five, whilst the Owls have only one defeat in seven, winning three and keeping four clean sheets.

Garry Monk has certainly taken to life as Hillsborough boss seeing his side up into fifth in the table and only one point of the automatic promotion places, and he will be looking to continue his unbeaten record as a manager at Ewood Park.

Monk's, counterpart Tony Mowbray has issued a defiant show of optimism saying his ambition is to get Rovers into the Premier League and that if they are to do that they should be beating the like of Sheffield Wednesday at home

Unfortunately for Mowbray, Prutton doesn't think Rovers' quest for promotion will get underway on Saturday, and he has predicted a 2-0 away win to heap more misery on the Lancashire outfit.

The Verdict

Looking at the form of the two clubs it is hard to argue with what the former Leeds man has gone with.

Monk's Wednesday are unbeaten in four matches and Saturday represents a golden opportunity to really mark themselves as one of the favourites for promotion in the division.

After Mowbray's comments, Saturday's game will be an interesting one.

The Blackburn boss issued some strong ambition for himself and his Rovers side and it will be intriguing to see if the players have taken this on board and rise to the occasion.
