Nottingham Forest face a difficult test as they face Norwich City at Carrow Road this evening.

The Reds have endured a tough season so far and find themselves sitting perilously close to the relegation zone as we enter the festive period.

Chris Hughton's side are currently on a run of five games without a defeat, and unfortunately for them they face one of the Championship's in-form sides.

Norwich are having a great season.

The Canaries are sitting at the top of the tree after winning nine of their 16 fixtures since being relegated to the second tier at the end of last summer.

Daniel Farke's side have lost just one of their last nine fixtures, and Prutton is backing them to record a 2-0 victory over Forest under the floodlights at Carrow Road.

Writing for Sky Sports, Prutton said: "Norwich surprised a few when they were held by Coventry and then well beaten by Luton at Kenilworth Road but they got back to winning ways with a hard-fought win over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend and their title push is back on track.

"Since the end of the November international break, things just haven't been clicking for Forest.

"The defeat to Reading made it five games without a goal and left them hovering above the relegation zone they could soon find themselves in.

"This should be a pretty routine win for Norwich."

The Verdict

Things don't get any easier for Nottingham Forest as they look to kickstart their season.

Results have been hard to come by of late and with a clash against Norwich City coming up, it's difficult to see that changing in the coming days.

It's hard to bet against Norwich City on current form, and I'm backing the Canaries to continue their positive form.
