Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has delivered his prediction for the League One clash between Blackpool and Rotherham United at Bloomfield Road this weekend.

Blackpool have made a very promising start to their new campaign and are currently fourth in the table, just three points outside the automatic promotion places.

The Tangerines are unbeaten in their last four league matches and are starting to build some serious momentum, but they face a tough game this weekend against Paul Warne's Rotherham.

The Millers were relegated from the Championship last season, but have struggled for consistency since their return to the third tier and are yet to win back-to-back league games this season.

Rotherham can go into Saturday's match full of confidence though after their 4-0 win over high-flying Coventry City last weekend. However, Prutton has predicted a 2-0 win for Blackpool.

"I saw Blackpool's trip to Bolton on Monday night and, while it wasn't the prettiest game, it was another point for Simon Grayson's side as they continue to climb back up the League One table," Prutton told Sky Sports.

"Rotherham haven't quite got their consistency back yet since their relegation, although they did get a big win over Coventry last weekend. Home win here for me."

The Verdict

Blackpool have made a promising start to their new campaign and are starting to build some serious momentum. Their home form this season has been pretty good, so they'll certainly fancy their chances of coming away with the three points on Saturday.

With that said, Rotherham are a good side and even though they've struggled for consistency since their relegation from the Championship, they can go into the game at the weekend full of confidence following their 4-0 win at Coventry.

It'll be a close game at the weekend and I think it could end in a draw, which would both a decent result for both teams.
