Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has backed Sheffield Wednesday to make it three wins from three in the Championship against Millwall tomorrow.

It has been a difficult few weeks for the Owls, with manager Steve Bruce leaving the club to join Newcastle United, but the team have made a fantastic start to their new campaign under caretaker boss Lee Bullen.

The Owls are currently top of the Championship table on goal difference after back-to-back wins from their opening two matches against Reading and Barnsley, and now face Millwall away from home tomorrow.

Millwall have also made an encouraging start to the season, taking four points from their opening two league games against Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion.

However, Sky Sports pundit and former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Prutton has backed the Owls to continue their impressive start under Bullen and is predicting a 3-1 win for the visitors.

"Millwall are ticking along nicely in the early stages of the season. Four points from two Championship games and a Carabao Cup win at West Brom - whom they drew with in the league last weekend - to boot," Prutton told Sky Sports.

"Sheffield Wednesday, meanwhile, have had a superb start, especially when you consider the upheaval of Steve Bruce's departure just before the start of the season. I fancy them to make it three from three."

The Verdict

I agree with Prutton here. The Den is always a difficult place to go and Millwall are a very physical side so it will be a tough game for Sheffield Wednesday, but I think they have got enough quality to get the win and continue their momentum.

It has been a difficult few weeks for Sheffield Wednesday, but you have to say that Lee Bullen has done a fantastic job in his two matches as caretaker manager so far and the players have really got behind him.

Millwall will be hoping challenge further up the table this season after battling relegation last term, but the Lions have made a very encouraging start to the new campaign under Neil Harris and will be full of confidence going into the game tomorrow.
