Aston Villa host Millwall tomorrow looking to make it a record ten wins in a row as they continue their march into the top six.

Dean Smith's men have been on a simply superb run of form which has seen them become big favourites amonsts some pundits and fans to be the team that goes all the way in the end of season shootout in the Championship.

Tomorrow's fixture with the relegation threatened Lions will not be an easy one of course, but Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has backed Smith's men to once again come out on top.

"The Lions - who do still have a game in hand - are fighting for their lives at the other end of the standings and will be a tough nut to crack. I think Villa will win comfortably, though, and set a new club record in the process." Prutton said.

The former Nottingham Forest midfielder has backed Villa to run out 2-0 winners against Neil Harris' men, and it's a prediction which is hard to disagree with in all honesty given the form of both sides.

Villa can secure a top six spot with a win and then can firmly turn their attentions to a tough game with Leeds United next weekend.

The Verdict

Spot on in this assessment is Prutton, who has a good enough knowledge of the Championship to make the right call.

Villa have been brilliant lately, and anything but a home win would go down as a huge surprise.

However, we saw what Wigan did at the weekend, so we shouldn't be ruling the Lions out just yet.
