David McGoldrick has given an update on his recovery from a thigh problem as he looks to ramp up his rehab programme.
The striker has not featured for the Blades since February, and has had to have surgery on the issue in the time since.
He’s started his recovery process from that surgery, though, and is looking to start increasing what he can do as he obviously bids to make a return to playing at some point.
Speaking to Sheffield United’s official TV channel SUTV, McGoldrick said that he is planning on seeing a specialist in the very near future and is hoping he can start upping the work he is doing:
"I've been in the gym for a bit now, since the operation about 8 weeks. Seeing a specialist very soon to find out how I'm getting on and to see when I can ramp it up."

What the future past injury recovery holds for McGoldrick remains to be seen.
He is a striker that still has lots to offer in the EFL but whether Sheffield United are going to keep him around past the end of this season remains to be seen.
All he’ll be thinking about, though, is getting fit and proving the quality he still has, and then an opportunity whether it’s staying at the club or moving elsewhere will present itself.
