Midfielder David Fox has returned to the Colchester United on a three-month deal, according to the club website.
Fox had originally signed for the U’s back in the summer of 2009 but departed for Norwich just one year later after making 21 appearances.
And, after impressing at United during his recent short spell with the club, the midfielder makes his return, penning a new deal which will take him initially through to January.
He was released by the Carrow Road side at the end of last season with the termination of his contract and has been training at Preston North End prior to his switch to Colchester.
U’s boss Tony Humes spoke about the move, telling the club website: “David adds experience to a young squad.
“He fits our profile of how we want to play the game and will be a good addition to the squad for the coming months.”
Fox’s deal will be completed subject to paperwork clearance by the relevant authorities.
