Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore has revealed that Jaden Brown and Callum Paterson are both available for this weekend's clash with Ipswich Town.

The Owls duo were left out of the club's match-day squad for their showdown with Shrewsbury Town last Saturday.

Forced to watch on from the sidelines at Hillsborough, Brown and Paterson were powerless to prevent their side from slipping up in this particular fixture as Wednesday were forced to settle for a point.

Saido Berahino gave the Owls the lead before Ryan Bowman netted an equaliser in the 37th minute of this match-up.

With Wednesday looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday, it will be intriguing to see whether Moore decides to alter his starting eleven for this fixture.

Making reference to Brown and Paterson, the Owls boss admitted that it was a tactical decision not to include them on the substitutes bench for the club's clash with Shrewsbury.

Speaking to The Sheffield Star about this particular duo, Moore said: "Jaden is fine, Callum is fine and they'll be ready to go for Saturday.

"That [omission] was just in terms of numbers."

Brown has missed Wednesday's last two games whilst Paterson has also fallen out of favour in recent weeks.

The Verdict

When you consider that the Owls have now gone three games without a win in League One, it would be a major surprise if Moore doesn't decide to make some changes to his side this weekend.

Wednesday could potentially benefit from Paterson's wealth of experience as he has made 318 senior club appearances during his career to date and thus know exactly what it takes to compete.

Meanwhile, Brown may need to prove his worth to Moore in training as he is currently unlikely to displace Liam Palmer at left-back.

Whilst Brown has been used on the left-hand side of midfield by Wednesday this season, the 22-year-old may find it difficult to overtake Olamide Shodipo in the pecking order as the former Oxford United loanee managed to deliver a promising performance last weekend.
