West Brom boss Darren Moore has revealed he is happy with the progress his side are making at the moment, but that he demands more from his players as they enter the crucial Christmas period.

The Baggies lost 1-0 at Hull in early November to cap a run of four games without a win and it looked as though their promotion aspirations were fading.

Since then they've remained unbeaten, winning four of their six matches, including a morale-boosting victory away at Sheffield United.

That's seen them rise back up to the cusp of the automatic promotion race, but Moore isn't going to let his side rest on their laurels.

“I’m pleased with the strides we’ve made over a short space of time,” he told the Express and Star. “I’m not completely satisfied because there’s a lot of work to be done still."

"That doesn’t stop, despite where we may be in the league. There are aspects I am pleased with, there are aspects we need to tidy up, and get better at. And we will get better at.”

They do have winnable games ahead of them, a trip to Rotherham takes them into the festive period before visits from Wigan Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday conclude a turbulent 2018.

They then host Blackburn in the first game of 2019, before another visit from Wigan, this time in the FA Cup.

The Verdict

I can see the Baggies picking up ten from twelve in their next four games, a run that will certainly keep them in contention. They've been in great form since their blip and have recovered well.

Darren Moore will be hunting automatic promotion and with a strong transfer window, there's no reason why he won't be able to achieve that.
