Darren Moore is aware of Sheffield Wednesday's issues going forward this season but believes that his side are creating enough chances for them to succeed.

Wednesday are sat in 12th place after ten League One outings and will be desperate to push themselves back into the top six race with a positive result on Saturday. Moore accepted some criticism towards his attacking contingent when he spoke to the club's media team in his pre-match press conference.

Moore said: "Does the goals tally have to improve? Yes. Have we got players who can score them? Yes. I really believe we have got players here to score goals, we are creating chances and we need to take them."

The Owls have only won one of their last six league games after what was a promising start to the season. So much goes through Barry Bannan in central midfield it has come a bit predictable and easier for other third tier sides to combat.

Wednesday are blessed with a star studded group of attacking players, it will be interesting to see what combination Moore goes for with the likes of Callum Paterson, Saido Berahino, Lee Gregory, and Olamide Shodipo at his disposal.

Moore will be hoping their 2-1 Football League Trophy victory in midweek can be the catalyst for their rise up the table.

The Verdict

Sheffield Wednesday rank 14th for expected goals generated from open play. Therefore it is hard to agree with Moore's claims that they are creating ample chances to give themselves the opportunity to arrest their slide.

Bolton Wanderers present a very tough test and come into the match of the back of three successive wins. The Trotters have been devastating on the road in putting Ipswich Town and Charlton Athletic to the sword 5-2 and 4-1 respectively, Moore must be wary of the threat they pose in approaching the matchup.

With the pressure of the expectant home crowd on his shoulders Moore needs to start delivering or his position in the dugout will become insecure.
