Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore has provided a mixed injury update ahead of tomorrow's game at Wycombe, with Sam Hutchinson back but Dominic Iorfa likely to miss the majority of the season.
The Owls are flying high in League One right now, and they travel to take on their fellow promotion hopefuls tomorrow knowing a win would go a long way to securing a top six finish, whilst it might also keep them in the hunt for the top two.
And, speaking to Yorkshire Live, Moore gave the latest on defensive trio Harlee Dean, Hutchinson and Iorfa.
"Certainly for Harlee; he's in a good place and has been back on the training ground. We have a decision to make with him. Dominic Iorfa is not fit. Sam Hutchinson is back in the squad and will be available for tomorrow.
"After Portsmouth is when he (Iorfa) will start to pick up his rehab. We think his injury is going to be three or four weeks. He went in for a tackle in training and came worse off. It was two players going straight for the ball in a competitive manner and Dom came off a little worse."
The verdict
Firstly, losing Iorfa is a blow because he is a class act at that level and you feel sorry for him given how he has suffered with injury this season.
However, Wednesday have coped well without the defender for much of the season, so it's not like they don't have the quality to step in.
With Hutchinson and Dean, the news is much more positive and you can be sure that Moore will want to get both involved if they're available to play because they bring leadership to the back line as well as ability.
