Darren Moore has spoken out about Theo Corbeanu today, telling The Sheffield Star that the on-loan winger has a 'part to play' for Sheffield Wednesday this season as the Owls look to try and mount a promotion push.
The club were relegated down into League One after suffering a points deduction but have fought back in the third tier and are currently sat just outside the play-off places. They had a superb start to the season and they've even managed to win three of their last four fixtures going into the game against Wimbledon this weekend.
They're a squad packed with stars, with the likes of Barry Bannan, Liam Palmer and Sam Hutchinson continuing to impress at Hillsborough after the step down in league. One player that the club's fans are excited to see though is on-loan star Theo Corbeanu, who has impressed during the game-time he has been given.
The winger is on loan from Wolves and has looked exciting during his stints for the side in the Papa John's Trophy. He's also been given a few cameos in the league but these have been limited to just a couple of minutes here and there so far.
However, despite failing to break into the side on a regular basis as of yet, Moore has claimed that Corbeanu does have a part to play for the Owls this year - and that might mean more game-time in the future for the youngster. Speaking to the Sheffield Star, Moore said: "It’s difficult for me to really open up on this because I don’t really want to tell people exactly what we’ve been working him on because I want to work on aspects of the game to hurt the opposition.
"What I would say about Theo is that he has wonderful balance, he has wonderful flair and commits opposition defenders and what he likes to do as he commits them is go past them and creates overloads.
"But there are still aspects of his game that he needs to work on. It’s a first-time loan for him and the first time he’s come into a club with our structure.
