Walsall manager Darrell Clarke will not let his players rest on their laurels as he demands more from his players.

Walsall ended a run of nine matches without a win in all competitions by winning the last four games on the bounce, three of which they managed to keep clean sheets in.

Darrell Clarke's side have managed to pull themselves away from the single relegation place and Clarke will be hoping his side can now push on and challenge for a play-off spot, which is where they would of expected to be at the start of the season.

Clarke has been pleased with the turnaround of his side but insists his players' feet are firmly on the ground.

Speaking to the club website, "There's nobody getting carried away,” said Clarke.

“The players know my feelings, they're well aware that I want better and I want more.

"Results have been good over the last couple weeks but we want better performances and better results as well".

The Verdict

Walsall have turned it around of late and will want to continue in the same vein of form when they host Salford next time out, a side who have been out of sorts as of late.

The quality that Walsall have in their ranks is more than enough to challenge for a play-off spot, and Darrell Clarke will be hoping his side can show that quality over the next few games to keep on picking up more points.
