Nottingham Forest striker Darius Henderson is undergoing a medical with the League One side, according Sky Sports journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The former Sheffield United and Millwall striker has fallen down the pecking order at Nottingham Forest following the arrivals of Matty Fryatt and Lars Veldwijk this summer. The 32 year-old is one of a number of players who new Forest boss Stuart Pearce has been looking to move on since arriving this summer.
Leyton Orient have had their transfer funds bolstered by the takeover of Italian businessman Francesco Becchetti. Manager Russell Slade has now been back in the transfer market to make the additions to get Orient out of League One.
Henderson scored eight goals in 31 appearances last season as Nottingham Forest narrowly missed out on the Championship play-offs last season. He would add further experience to an Orient squad that was recently bolstered by the arrival of former Reading winger Jobi McAnuff.
