Barnsley manager Danny Wilson spoke about his side’s performance to the club website following their 1-0 win over Rochdale on Saturday.
Wilson was happy with the win
The game was decided by a tenth minute header from Peter Ramage which moves the Reds up to 17th, meanwhile Rochdale sit in ninth position.
Wilson spoke following the match, saying to the Barnsley official site: “I am pleased. We saw more of what we are about today. The last few games we’ve conceded too many goals.
“After a little re-jig today, it helped us a little bit. With Peter Ramage coming in it gave a big lift to us. It was a seamless transition him coming back in and I had no worries putting him straight in.
“Overall I thought it was a good game. It was an entertaining game. They’ve had chances, we’ve had chances. But, overall we’ve got the three points which I thought was fully deserved with the commitment they showed today.”
Wilson then went on to speak about the header that won the match: “It was a very good header and the quality of the ball helped as well. It was a good goal and settled us down a little bit.”
