Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills has admitted to being hugely impressed with Leeds United winger Jack Harrison.

The Man City starlet is once again at Elland Road following his spell with the club last year. And after being inconsistent throughout last term, Harrison seems to have settled into the team now and is finding the consistency in his game which Marcelo Bielsa will be demanding.

Former Leeds and England man Mills then has been quick to praise Harrison's performances.

"He looks really sharp, really hungry. The crosses he put in were absolutely exceptional. Having a natural left-footer that is happy to go down the outside and put balls into the box – he put two or three across, flashed across the face of goal." Mills told Football Insider.

“That’s what I like about him, he’s that old school winger. If he gets half a yard, he’s going to put that ball into the box and he puts it into the box with real pace, real quality. Having the benefit of a full last season, he knows the system."

Harrison is one of a number of wingers at Elland Road vying for a place in the starting XI, with the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Helder Costa and Jack Clarke also challenging for a regular place in Bielsa's team.

The 22-year-old will be well aware that the time is now for him in terms of career progression, and praise from Mills will no doubt be a big boost to his confidence.
