Huddersfield Town manager Danny Cowley saw his side once again fail to get the three points as they drew 1-1 with Millwall.
The Terriers took the lead through Frazier Campbell but couldn’t add a second as the Lions fought their way back into the game and got themselves an equaliser up in West Yorkshire.
Cowley is still finding his feet with Town but is already starting to make an impression, and he made the move this past week to sign former Leicester City defender Danny Simpson, with Cowley immediately chucking him into the action this afternoon.
And following the game, Cowley made a point of singling out Simpson for big praise.
“It’s not easy to come in, but the group needed his experience today,” Cowley said in his post-match press conference.
“He’s so good with dealing with man and space. He’s a good kid. He’s really left an impression on me.”
Cowley was speaking following the game, where FootballLeagueWorld’s Alfie Burns was on reporting duty for the day.
Huddersfield remains second from bottom in the Championship table and play Stoke this coming week in what is already looking like being a vitally important game at the wrong end of the table already.
