Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel has offered an insight into how he prepares for the club's League One promotion run in, even during his downtime.

The German, who has guided Barnsley to second in League One, five points clear of the play-off place with six games remaining in his first season at Oakwell, appears to be the epitome of calmness heading into that all important run in.

Posting on Instagram, Stendel uploaded a picture of him riding into towards the sunset on his bike, with the caption "Nothing better than an even bikeride to clear your mind and stay focused." adding the hashtag COYR.

The verdict

It seems as though there aren't many people as relaxed as Daniel Stendel heading into this run in, and that is a huge bonus for Barnsley.

This is the time of the season for cool heads when the pressure is on most, and it seems the German has the ability to detach himself from the pressure, which, if he transfers that to the Oakwell dressing room, could leave Barnsley in a strong position indeed.
