Daniel Stendel is certainly making a name for himself with Barnsley in his first managerial spell in England, and he'll be keen to build on some impressive recent form.

The Tykes are currently sat 3rd in the Championship and after a run of three successive wins, the 'feel good factor' at Oakwell is well and truly back.

Many were surprised at the appointment of Stendel in the first place, but he has silenced those doubters heading into the New Year.

Barnsley were one of the favourites to gain promotion this season and they are certainly justifying those pre-season promotion credentials.

It's sure to be an interesting transfer window at Oakwell this month, and it could potentially make or break their season as they aim for an immediate return to the Championship, following relegation last season.

But who should Stendel be targeting this month to challenge for promotion?

Find out here....

Jackson has only made three starts this season and is surely likely to be wanting a move away from Oakwell this month.

The 24-year-old signed for Barnsley on a free transfer from Middlesbrough in 2016, but only made 22 appearances last season in the Championship.

His lack of game time is a real concern and Stendel should be looking at selling him at the earliest of opportunities.

Hedges arrived at Barnsley in January 2017 but has struggled for regular game time this season under Stendel.

It's fiercely competitive in wide positions at the League One side this season and given that he has only made two league starts this season, his future surely lies elsewhere.

At the age of 23, a loan move could be the best move for both parties here.
